Since 1990 over 500 people have participated in Leadership Barry County. It provides participants the opportunity to gain, expand, or hone leadership skills. Networking is also a large part of Leadership Barry County, many relationships flourish out of the program. Participants come from many sectors, hold various positions in the companies they represent.

Barry County high school students are also invited to participate in Leadership Barry County as well and can gain experience before many of their peers. A student that has participated in Leadership Barry County and is a member of the Youth Advisory Council can then hold a voting position on the LBC board of directors. 

Each year participants are asked to provide feedback on the program so that we can make positive changes to the program. Each participant brings a fresh perspective to Leadership Barry County.
